KILLING WILD HORSES IN NEVADA (robertson 10)

F Gm
1. Seems to me everything has changed
C Bb C F C7
What used to be familiar now is strange

This land once was open and free

But that story is just another used-to-be.

2. I ain’t one to live in the past
I know lots of things ain’t gonna last
But the way you treat your animals says a lot about a man
That’s something not too many understand

G Am
They’re killing wild horses in Nevada
D C D G D7
Wyoming and New Mexico
G
The BLM just rounds them up,
Am
The mustang and the calico
D G
It don’t seem right to me, ya know?

3.They tell me some of them are adopted
But it really don’t make no sense to me
they say the adoptions are a good thing
The horses don’t really need to run free

4.In the Palomino Valley Facility
There are eighty three horses in a pen
A federal judge will decide where they’re goin’
But wherever it is, the will never run free again.
